About Us - Owners of Bluefolds in Speyside
Bluefold Cottages: born out of a passion for the Scottish Highlands.
Steve and Elizabeth welcome you wholeheartedly to Bluefolds self-catering holiday cottages. They are both passionate about Scotland and have a particular soft spot for Moray Speyside and the Cairngorms National Park. They fell in love with Bluefolds back in 1999 – not least because of the unrivalled location in rural Glenlivet - and have owned and managed them superbly since then. As they both say themselves, you really have to see the view to believe it.
Local Visitor Information
Steve and Elizabeth are active members of the local community and keen to share their experiences and promote the area. They have everything in place to ensure you have the holiday of your dreams; information, inspiration through photography, the chance to interact with the community as well as the grace to step back and leave you to your tranquil retreat in the remote cottages.
Malt Whisky Expert
If you’re a malt whisky drinker, you’ll be pleased to hear that Steve is a true expert on Speyside Malts and gives regular talks and tastings during the Spirit of Speyside and the Autumn Speyside Whisky Festivals based in Dufftown. In addition, he assists Dufftown in running weekly whisky tastings during the summer season from May to September. He is always delighted to share his local insights with interested visitors and yes, you can be sure of a ‘wee dram’ at Bluefolds. Ask about Steve’s popular “Around Scotland” and “Speyside Secrets” whisky talks and tastes.
Elizabeth's inspiration is this beautiful,tagheuertime.co.uk wild, remote area which she tries to capture from every angle in every weather. She shares the best places to photograph through her photobooks and calendars in the cottages. Elizabeth also runs the Bluefolds and Tomintoul & Glenlivet Highland Holidays facebook pages which shares and promotes examples of local photography.
They are looking forward to hearing from you and welcoming you here.
