What our visitors have to say about Bluefolds Cottages:

Thanks for a wonderful holiday. The thick layer of snow was a surprise, but we loved it. Thanks for the excellent service; the talks about the region; whisky and all your good advice. Flert and family, Belguim Mar 08

What a great cottage you have and what magnificent surroundings. Though our main objective was the distilleries, we found time for walks (climbing Ben Rinnes is recommended) and for time relaxing at the house. Many thanks to Steve for his talks about Malt Whiskies and his information about the whisky festival. Rene, Sandor, Henkel and Hans, Holland May 08

When we travel, we don't often say we'd come back, only because there are so many places in the world to see! But we can honestly say we would return to the Highlands and stay at Bluefolds! What a lovely cottage and the most amazing area in Scotland that we have ever seen. The Mackay/ Pettyjohn Families Victoria, Canada Jul 09

This has been our first trip to this beautiful part of Scotland. The cottage was most welcoming the the view breathtaking. Steve has spoilt us with tales of the local countryside and "wee drams". We will never forget this week away. Thank you Bluefolds! We look forward to our return Natalie, Clive, Sophie and Graham Aug 09

Excellent accommodation - stunning location and fantastic weather. The perfect holiday. Theank you Steve for both the standard of the cottage and your trying to educate us on the finer points of Scotch Whisky. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will hopefully come again. Want to see a Golden Eagle next time! Carol, Chirs, Philip and Paul from Devon and London Sep 09

Thanks a lot for this cosy cottage. We really enjoyed the breathtaking landscape in front of it. We had a very good time in Scotland and the weather was fine. Last but not least, we have to go and it makes us deeply sad. We found what we came for. Annick, Clalude, Gustan, Mathan and Noe - La Mans, France Jul 08

Thanks Steve for your advice, directions and recommendations in your holiday folders. It's been fabulous - sunshine and long hours of it, great walking on Glenlivet Estate - you can't go wrong with the waymarked trails. The landrover tours on the estate with Glenlivet wildlife are excellent. Put the pots and pans away for the week and enjoy great hospitality at the Croft Inn. The Cairngorms might be crawling with BBC crews (Springwatch), but tDogs and a peregrine falcon on holiday at Bluefolds Holiday Cottageshere's just so much wildlife for all to enjoy. I'll miss the waking to the sound of the curlew, being mobbed by oystercatchers and the cuckoo in the woods opposite. If you can drag yourself away from the cottage area - the visitors centre at Culloden is great. Steve & Carolyn May 08

This was our third and final week in Scotland and our favorite. Steve and Elizabeth were just as gracious and helpful as they seemed during our 2 year email friendship. Our favourite activities were the Dell Glenlivet Clay Pigeon Shooting and Glenlivet Wildlife where you go "off the beaten track" in a landrover with a cup of tea at the top of Cairn Diamh with a 360 dgree view - perfect for photos. We will treasure the memories and be back as soon as possible. Jon and Laurie - Phoenix, Arizona Aug 08

We never thought we'd find somewhere as magical as this so close to home and in Scotland. The peace and relaxation is just amazing. We will be back and telling only special people of this special place. Kev, Fiona, Jess Apr 08

Fifth visit to this fantastic holiday cottage. Every year we find new tings to see. Enjoyed watching the squirrel each morning and the pheasants. Had lovely meals the Croft Inn, but mostly enjoyed the peace and quiet and wonderful scenery around Folds Cottage. See you next year. Brenda + Morag & Poppy (Gordon Setters) Aug 09

Or 2nd visit to Folds Cottage with our 3 Goldies. Enjoyed the views, peace and quite and the wildlife. Dogs enjoyed sniffing out the grouse on the hills. All enjoyed Findhorn Bay - well worth a visit. Had some lovely walks in Morinsh woods and Glenmore Forest Parks. We had a lovely walk and the doggies had a lovely swim at Loch Eilean in the Rothiemurchus Estate. It's very dog friendly and worth a visit with or without a dog. Going home relaxed and with 3 tired dogs. Looking forward to returning soon. Sally & Andi + Harvey, Daisy and Rubie (Goldies) W Sussex May 09

We had a great week, the cottage is comfortable and cosy and the setting just perfect! Highlights were ski-ing at the Lecht, walking up to the Mountain Railway from Glenlmore and trying to spot wildlife outside the cottage. Our first visit to Scotland has been wonderful, the people so friendly and the scenery simply stunning, we can't wait to come back. Thanks for making the cottage as homely as it could be. Angela, Richard, Ton and Esme - Pool-in-Wharfedale Feb 09

We had a wonderful time here. The landscapes are jut unbelievably stunning. Morning coffee outside - we will miss that most! We will be back for sure. Thank you for a great "welcome pack" and see you soon. Tomesak family Sep 09

Thank you so much once again for a fantastic stay in Dronach. Your hospitality is excellent, so much so that Dronach feels like home, if only for a week. We visted favourites like Findhorn and Lossie with beaches to die for. Our visit to the Cairngorms was beautiful - to see a mountain so close in its snowy, rugged glory was truly memorable. The wild life has been to die for this year; deer on the doorstep and dolphins at Spey Bay. No doubt we will be back for a 4th visit. Sue and Dave Yorkshire. Jun 07

By pure chance we found Bluefolds on the Internet. We are so pleased we did - it is a gorgeous place - so much so we are keeping this place a secret!! My children saw a hare for the first time and loved watching the sheep and cows daily. Our binoculars were continually busy. Steve has been wonderful and friendly and a real pleasure to meet. I think we will be back very soon to our secret hidey-hole on Speyside. Thank you Steve and Elizabeth. Sandra, Bill, Allison, Millie and Enya Devon Jul 07

Thanks for a fantastic stay, our 8th visit. The cottage is improved every visit Thank you Elizabeth and Steve, you make this beautiful place a fantastic one. Paul and Kerstin Sweden 8 May 07.

Lovely comfortable cottage, stunning scenery and the weather was very kind to us as well! Enjoyed visiting distilleries, castles and the coast. One of my highlights was seeing the Dolphins playing in Spey Bay. Hope to come back this way again. Lizzie and Neil Sep 09

We came for the snow and boy did we get it. A brilliant week with lots to do: the reindeer in Glenmore were lovely, the hill walking was great and the skido's were lots of fun. The cottage is lovely and cosy and plenty warm enough even with temperaturess of -16. Thanks for the warm and friendly welcome - will recommend Bluefolds to everybody. The Pritchards Dec 09.

Our third visit to Bluefolds and still blown away by the scenery. See you next year. Thanks again Elizabeth and Steve. Mark and family Aug 07
