Bluefolds Highland Self Catering Holiday Cottages in Glenlivet Scotland

Location - Glenlivet in Cairngorms National Park - between Inverness and Aberdeen

Bluefolds Highland holiday cottages are situated on a hillside, at one thousand four hundred feet, in open fview to the cairngorm mountains from bluefolds cottagesarmland, with stunning panoramic views across Glenlivet, to the Cairngorms National Park mountains (photo left). To help locate them, they are east of Aviemore, south of Elgin and west of Aberdeen. They are about 1 mile from the Dufftown to Tomintoul Road.

The Cairngorms National Park is the largest in Britain and encompasses the Cairngorm and the Grampian Highlands and possesses many of the highest peaks in Scotland -a Munro baggers dream. It contains three of the five Scottish ski centres as well as the head waters of two of Scotland's finest salmon rivers, the Dee and the Spey. This is a fantastic area for wildlife, nature and solitude.

Bluefolds Holiday Cottages We believe that we are very lucky to live in such a beautiful and unspoilt area of Scotland and we would like to try and ensure that our visitors now and in the future continue to enjoy this remote, wilderness area. Our water is drawn from underground springs high on the side of Ben Rinnes. After use it passes through a natural purification process before rejoining the groud water below the cottages. Our cottages are mainly heated electrically to enable us to take advantage of more environmentally sensitive energy sources such as wind or wave power. As you drive around the area, you will see some of our wind farms. Where possible we use low energy lighting and have other energy saving facilities such as showers and microwaves. Recycling facilities are available for glass, cans, paper and cardboard.
