Folds cottage is small farmhouse built in the 18th century and was lived in until the early 20th century. The builiding is constructed of local stone under a slate roof. It was rebuilt to modern insulation standards and extended in the mid 1990's making the cottage very comfortable. The cottage is south facing to enjoy all day sunshine and the stunning mountain views to the Cairngorms National Park. Folds is surrounded by a fenced garden.

Folds cottage is double glazed with a separate modern kitchen and utility room, electrically heated and comfortably furnished with CD/radio player, telephone, digital satellite TV with video and DVD players. The coal fired stove is a feature in the kitchen and also heats radiators in the lounge and bathroom. Linen, towels and t-towels are included. Cot, high chair and baby bath are available free. Barbecue and patio furniture included.

Downstairs a large comfortable lounge/dining room with a separate kitchen and utility room. The kitchen includes hob, double oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher; utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. A double bedroom with ensuite shower room with toilet and wash basin; bathroom with bath, toilet, wash basin and shower are also downstairs. Upstairs 2 family rooms with 1 double and 1 single bed with wash basins. This exceptional quality cottage has recently been redecorated and re-carpeted and has a very high standard of cleanliness.

Visitors are welcome to bring well-behaved dogs. There is plenty of space for them in the garden and there are many excellent way marked trails in the area which are good for dog walking.
